I just bought a Motorola V3x last Christmas but now all my friends are on Telecom - is there anyway (like by unlocking it) that I can get it on Telecom?

I really want this,
Thanks.

No, there is absolutely NO way of having that phone on Telecom.

Vodafone run a GSM network
Telecom run a CDMA network

No sorry the Motorola V3x is a GSM handset, the GSM Radio is not compatible with the CDMA network.

Buy a Telecom branded phone.

Okay...thanks.

It's just that in the pdf on this page:http://www.telecom.co.nz/content/0,8748,205669-204431,00.html?nv=sd
it says that Telecom sim cards can be used "exclusively in your WorldMode phone or in
other SIM-enabled GSM handsets (unlocked) as long as you have a Telecom post paid account.

Telecom WorldMode is a roaming service, not available for use within New Zealand.
