Vodafone's Red Network
3 Plans, all Max/Max ADSL2+ (upto 24mbit), 1GB, 5GB, 20GB with extra data blocks available
edit: would help if i got the link right
This sounds really good. I think I'll sign up for it.
We hardly ever use the phone at home so it doesn't matter if we lose it due to "teething trouble"

1 GB plan? A Mac OS update would use almost half of this per month! Why offer this kind of plan on a max speed service?
cranz: Same price, data cap and phoneline package as current wholesale plans except the red zone is ADSL2+ where as the current plans are advertised* as 7.6mbit/128kbps for 1GB & 5GB (realistically 4.5mbit/128kbps) and 7.6mbit/800kbps for 20GB.
* I say advertised because this is what their website says, unsure if Vodahug is ratelimiting connections on Telecom ADSL2 gear
spazz: Well my address is within coverage range, but I couldn't for the life of me find the 'Sign Up' button - anyone care to link me?I actually just rang Vodafone and they said it isn't currently possible for existing customers to sign up to the Red Network, only new customers, and they'll be migrating existing customers towards the end of the year (??!). I thought this all sounded a bit ridiculous but the CSR assured me the only people who could currently access the service "while we are still ironing out bugs" were new customers.I have to ask, if they're still ironing out bugs, and long-term ihug customers like myself can't sign up, why is the service being advertised?
