TO be quite honest, at least for me, the word surprising doesn't even cut it.

Im astonished they all sold so quickly.

I think if i get one, im going to get one from overseas. Screw paying for it here.

Also, Theres a nice phone thats coming out next month, and in my eyes competes with the iPhone (for my needs anyway)

Its a shame that these plans aren't really competitive..
To be quite honest, I would much rather cheaper plans and pay more upfront for the phone, rather than the other way around

Some people here were talking about low stock levels coming in at launch, and I heard independently that the levels were even lower than the figures being spoken of here.

Yeah, well they're gonna be losing about another 5 connections if Telecom offer a better plan. Suits me.

BTW, the phone is the HTC Touch Pro.

Looks quite nice, actually. Chuck an 8gb card in it, and off you go! Simple as that.

EDIT: Noteably, Vodafone will be selling HTC devices soon.. But I smell PI instead.
Dont get me wrong, I love Vodafone, I just think their moves lately leave a lot of be desired.

That's interesting that Paul says that Apple approves of Vodafone's plan pricing for the iPhone. My contacts have said that higher-ups at Apple aren't impressed at all with Vodafone's New Zealand iPhone plan pricing. In fact it seems like Paul's post is stated in such a way as to discourage people from contacting Apple. Which is telling of fact the more emails that Apple receives from customers the more pressure they're capable of putting on Vodafone.

Polite notes to Apple on Vodafone's pricing and customer service are very influential and can actually get things changed. My contact says that the best way to get through to Apple is actually through their webpage:

My guesstimate would be around 1300. But I'd rather pay that than paying for the iphone, and having it way less customizable.
(UI wise, etc)
Personally not too sure on compatibility, however, a quick google search returns a promising result. http://www.sync-mac.com/

Interesting, as mine say the same. I was contacted by one of them asking where the $199 plan had gone, and I didn't know, so that's what I said. Ok - it's still available which is fine. Apple do like to know what's going on and are rather particular about that. Some would even refer to Apple Inc as control freaks ;-)

Care to explain your contacts at all? It seems a bit like you are inventing things (being a brandnew user certaintly doesn't help): posting vague comments about the thoughts of senior Apple personnel - how does your contact knows what they are thinking?

It seems to me like you have some sort of agenda and simply want to get more and more people to contact Apple about Vodafone.
