friendlymonkey:
reefshipping: That is definately a pathetic offering...

250mb is jack all, and they ANYONE will pay $250 a month for 1gb data?

Would you really use more than 250mb a month?? I mean most of the time wouldn't you be using wifi at home/work/uni?
250 is fine for checking yr emails and browsing some pages when not near wifi

Check my post on the original iphone thread.  I use between 300 and 500 megs per month, and consider myself a moderate user.  Usage would drop slightly with the 3G phone because I could use EAP WiFi at work, but still 250 is WAY too low, especially if you want to use Google maps with the new GPS functionality, and push notifications with all the new App Store background apps.

It's a massive missed opportunity by Vodafone, in one fell swoop they've elminiated most of their demographic.  Business will not stand for those costs either so there better be some pretty nice pricing to get enterprise on board and ditch their blackberries which come with very good plans already.

Total insult Vodafone.  FAIL.

Strangely I no longer mind that the iPhone's not being stocked locally here in Hawke's Bay. No wonder Pauls gone on Holiday. Knew it would happen - they were keeping too quiet.

Does anyone know if the included texts are to VF phones only, or do they include texts to Telecom mobiles too? Ta.

Step 1. Pick up gun
Step 2. Aim at foot
Step 3. Pull trigger.

So are you able to have the iPhone without one of the iPhone plans, e.g. stay on your current plan?

The iPhone plans are a good deal when compared with buying all those add-ons with You Choose, so I'm not sure why people are bashing them so violently, but in my case I was smart and signed up for 3 years when You Choose was being offered with 25% more minutes and 10% off the base charges (including add-ons) so I'd rather not give this up as I effectively pay $90 for 313 minutes a month and get 10% off my data plan/Best Mates etc...

*hopes*

I presume if you do a re-sign on your contract you can only get the iPhone subsidy with an iPhone plan?
