Just for everyone's knowledge - the OP is on the correct 1000/500 plan.

Are they also on the correct "Consumer Max-500-2.5-2.5" (or similar) LFC input service?

Cheers  - N

Did OP test VLAN10 directly to ONT?

Yup. They're on the right profile on both the VF and LFC sides.

Test using VLAN10 as others have said: setup DHCP for WAN in network settings, check VLAN10 is enabled, no need for authentication as it is IPoE, your PC should say you are connected to the internet

Use the windows 10 app rather than the browser.

Edit - but those speeds prove it's your router causing the primary issue. You should still see better speeds than that though, but it's almost certainly going to be your computer, not something external.

Which means the problem is with your router...

Seriously get a Vodafone Ultrahub and call it a day.

Thanks, team

Obviously, the Nighthawk is limiting the factor here. However straight ONT testing I would have hoped for more.

I'll probably grab an ultra hub off Trademe then ...

Did you test with the Windows 10 app rather than the web browser?

I don't think the Windows PPPoE driver implementation can do full gigabit reliably.

Not using PPPoE.

You mentioned you tested with a Huawei 659 as well - and that definitely can do full speed... Still odd.

Ok ok … wow what a journey this has been. So I did a factory reset on the nighthawk, manually configured it removing any extras like networking shares, USB, etc and tested again to find I hit close the 500 speeds, which is what I got when testing straight to ONT.

Tested with the speed test app and got
