16GB iPhone 3G has gone down to $979 out-of-contract -- same price as the 8GB.

I think that is because they have run out of 8Gig iPhones, See Vodafone.co.nz

Seems like the rates are all over the place depending on the provider. What's with the $114 VF Unlimited plan? Seems very good, doesn't mention any buy price.

Go Aussie VF!!!!!

Gingo's, if I could get something like that with reasonable 3G speed, might not look at Telecom's XT network for me or my staff.

Here's hoping.

I'd say its more to do with the fact that the 16GB iPhone 3G is an end-of-life product and they just want to sell their existing stock. The 8GB iPhone 3G is still a current product and will be for at least the next year.

Even I'm getting slightly tempted, will be interesting to see what radio chipset they go with this time.

Also MMS is a must even though everything seems to get butchered at the MMSC nowdays (gone is mp3 transport, comes out as a crappy AMR.)

Does anyone know of any "lite" applications that can load and unload content onto the current iphone? iTunes is the big dealbreaker for me.

as for video calls I do hope they build in some one-way video calling. I use it for security camera purposes.
