Got the alert this time again on my iPhone XS Max running 13.2.3.
Phone was on silent so only vibrated, no noise. I thought it was meant to override the audio settings on the phone?

@cws82us

It's over the mobile network so what ever frequency the handset is attached to the serving cell site on could be one of many

Happy to report both mums phone and mine got it at the same time s5 and s8 plus. I noticed hers was quieter than mine tho. Mine is almost deafening.

I'm not sure if I border a few staggered towers. Or if Canterbury is being over zealous.

That makes 3 now

I have an iPhone 8 Plus on Vodafone, and a Garmin Fenix 5 Plus.

My phone received the alert but didn't make any noise as it was on silent. On the positive side, the alert was mirrored on my watch so it's good to know that I will still notice the alert immediately even with the phone on silent.

Huawei Mate 20, Huawei P30 Pro and Nokia 8 here, all received the alert. Two on Vodafone, one on 2degrees.

Both my wife (iPhone 10 xs max) and Mine (iPhone 11 pro max) received, forgot about it happening and scared the sh*t of us hahah. Did not see a notification on my watch.

Curious for the ones that had it on silent I also thought it was supposed to override all those settings.

Xiaomi Mi A2 lite x 2
Iphone 7 (A1779 Jp model)
Nexus 5 (android 6)

All on skinny
All received 6:07pm

Interesting that if Voda is 2 min later - all voda users might be dead in whatever disaster there is by the time the alert is received. 😂

I recall last time my phone only vibrated (pretty much always have it on silent)
This time I was driving, my iPhone automatically puts itself into dnd mode when connected to the Bluetooth in my car. The alert still came through, blaring through the car speakers whilst also vibrating in my pocket.

All our phones got it - Moto G5, Huawei P9. The one that's puzzling is the old Samsung S4 that went off. It has no SIM card, WiFi is off, and it hasn't had a SIM card since I flashed the most recent ROM - Lineage 15. I know all phones should be able to call 111 regardless of SIM card, but I'm curious how it got this alert. Anyone have any ideas?
