fskidd: Looks like 2talk has some serious problem connecting China. I cannot phone china for more than 2 weeks now. Will switch to VFX tomorrow.

Did you read sbiddle's comments just a couple of posts above yours?

I use the softphone provided by 2talk and call from my computer and still cannot get through. I have no problem making NZ local calls.

Is China on 2Talk's black list and requires a PIN to make the call??

No. China is included in the 250 minutes countries minutes. I am on the talk10 plan anyway.

I cant call china number either. Damn 2talk. I'm switching to other provider as well. Everything was ok until last month. Calls made to china are all dead. I will check out that vfx and see if it's any cheaper.
I can still call Nz and AU number, no problem. I just paid 20 to 2talk. Can't get my money back!!

I was trying to call my auntie's landline last night. But it never worked. I will switch to callnet. I will see if it's a good one.

Same here. It doesn't work both lineline and mobile. Which one is better - iTalk from Slingshot or VFX from WxC?

CALLNET looks like a white-label company from 2Talk.

2talk is a far superior platform to iTalk. iTalk doesn't even have working voicemail notifications.

Considering that the problem is likely to be an upstream interconnect there is potentially a good chance iTalk would use the same upstream providers and have the same issue since they are part of the same company.

I ditched italk because of the low call quality calling rural Japanese numbers and mobiles (major metro cities call quality was no problem). Switched to 2talk and quality is great. :-)

VFX seems to get the most praise in the geekzone forums.

We had to STOP recommending 2talk about 12 months ago because our own customers stated to complain to us! We have been using VFX since 2006 and have NEVER looked back!

Where can I find the international calling rates on VFX website?? I can't seem to find any. Does VFX do prepay plan as well as monthly plan??

I have just paid 5 dollars to Callnet. 15 cents a minute to a NZ landline. It's so cheap!! I will try if I can ring china or not later.
