freitasm: Not sure you are talking about the same people here... There are a few WorldxChange/VFX people around and they are very good. Maverick for example takes his time to help in the forums by providing traces and other information for people experiencing problems.

Review my post history and you will see that Maverick has been making posts in response to my queries just today.

My comment really was a shoot over the bow at the sales guys who have failed to contact me directly and say "Hey Don, we'd love you to sell our product, how can we get you on board?" and not a personal attack on any single individual or company.

freitasm:  I haven't seen any attitude in the forums.

I'm seeing a lack of enthusiasm.  This is a tough technology but a really good and important one in my view.

My view is that we should do as much as we can to help anyone who's willing to step up to the mic with this stuff because it's important technology for New Zealand.

freitasm:   I assume your previous paragraph dissing the competition has nothing to do with you now being a reseller. That would be kind of unethical, right?

I'm enjoying your moderation style man, I really am.  You mods play a very level game here on GZ, much more so that the .au forum I also enjoy following, where my comments today would have just been deleted without question or discussion.

Yes my comments do have everything to do with the fact I'm planning on selling 2Talk (I actually haven't made a single sale yet because I'm not confident enough with the product to be willing to put it out there without more testing and understanding, but I'm getting closer.)

From my point of view, I'm a retailer, selling Sony, Samsung, Panasonic video recorders.

I really don't care where you buy your video recorder, nore which brand.

I'm keen to see more videos sold and less people just listening to radio - if you can see past the analogy.

I was keen to point out my vested CLEAR interest in the 2Talk service so as not to mislead.

I would like to represent as many products as I can, and like Maverick and SteveB, simply help people as much as I can with this technology.

Yes, my style from time to time is to take a shot over the bow of other providers and I hope they take one back and me as well if needed!

This is complex technology and we all need to work together as much as we can to master it in the interests of using it to forward New Zealand.

DonGould: I wish the VFX guys were a bit easier to deal with and would drop the attitude on the forums. I note that the 2Talk guys don't even bother with the forums.

Huh? As a former WxC dealer, I never had an issues, I'm not quite sure what you are on about.

Opps, I probably come across a bit hard, mainly because I am truly passionate around SIP and NGN deployments but I honestly believe that it needs to be deployed correctly and I make no apologies for this, The more information and spread of that information is fantastic and if have ever read my posts from Day 1 the reason I contribute to Geekzone is because I believe the right information needs to be out there.

IMHO there are some very bad offering out there and they will do the industry as a whole no service, it may be fine for small network but as a full on PSTN replacement offering we as a Industry have to get this right and it may not be as easy as some would like I'm afraid because in a nut shell it's no that easy to get right, once your there it is the hard part is getting it right first, sorry again Don (corrected name )if you find my attitude a bit over the top Wink

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

If you keep calling me Dan I might take exception. ;)

But I agree with everything else you said...  It's why I'm here responding.  Like you, I have attitude as well, and I think most readers figure that out quick enough and don't take offense. :)

I don't take any offense at you or your company and was not trying to suggest in anyway that 2Talk is any better or worse than your offerings even if my post may have come across that way as it clearly did to Fm.

From my pov this mornings posts have been very constructive! :)

Thanks Don. So far everything seems going pretty well :D

I tested it on SipDroid. It was actually really easy to configure. I give 6/10 for call quality, comparing to the quality on the 2talkphone on PC. I will adjust some settings and see if I can tweak it better.

Sipdroid isn't fantastic call quality wise, it also has an annoying early media bug but you shouldn't see that with 2Talk.

Bring on native SIP support in Android.

Let me know what changes you make. I haven't put in much time on that one yet and haven't been that impressed. It works but I had real delay with call connection and volume was very low. What Android are you using again?

tested more SIP clients:
CSipSimple - better interface, but had some random problem hanging up some calls
3CX - Dialpad doesn't work while calling (e.g. voicemail)

I found SipDriod has a short connection delay too, about 2 or 3 seconds? But CSipSimple is worse, it also cut like 1 or 2 seconds at the beginning of the call.
