Um so someone help me out here please.
A client has just e-mailed me. He purchased a NUC on TM and it came with W10, but no COA sticker and it is not activated.
I have told him to go back to the seller. I'm not sure how that went. And I told him that activation is not critical and that, while Microsoft may change the game plan at a later date, the OS will currently continue to work, forever, albeit without access to many customisation options and Microsoft account logon stuff (it's a business PC and uses a local account).
Regardless, my client's obviously been looking at buying Windows. And hence his e-mail, which I'll copy n' paste now...
"I still haven't sorted out the window license, and see some companies are offering a digital download for just $40, compared to around $200 plus at PBtech. See:
is this legitimate? / Worth using? / Am I likely to have any problems?"
(I hope that link isn't stripped out of my post. If it is, it is from empire gaming (one word) dot com.)
Is this legit or what? I note on the site that a key is e-mailed out only - so no COA sticker.
I don't know quite what to reply to him. Looking for advice from others here.
