Hi,

How can I automatically reboot Vista on a daily basis at a set time each day?  Is this function available within Vista itself, or do I need to download a piece of software to do this for me?

It should be as simple as using Vista's Task Scheduler.

Would you care to be a little more elaborate?  There is no option in there which says "restart Windows", so I'm guessing I'd have to build something.  I don't know how to hence the reason I'm asking here.

Sorry, but I do not have Vista on this machine.

The first result there, paragraph should be enough info. You can also add a -t paramater, -t 60 would shut it down in 60 seconds from starting the task.

Should just be a simple matter (hopefully!) of creating a task to launch

c:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe -r

the -r forces a reboot rather than just a shutdown
