Hi all,

I am new to servers and am trying to set one up for a small company I am working for. What we want to be able to do is to log into the server instead of the laptop so the user name ect would be from the server.

The main thing that we are wanting to be able to do is log into the server when we are at the office but also be able to log in like we were still at the office when we are on-site or at home.

I do not know if I am explaining myself correctly but I hope you can understand what I am after.

Thanks

So what I think you want to do is a Terminal Server or VPN.

So is the purpose to do this is E-mail/ Files/ Applications?? or somthing totally different??

If you have less than 10 users then you may want to consider using Windows Home Server.

I've set it up for a few small businesses and it has some great features like being able to do full backups of each machine, share files/folders, restore file versions and it also provides remote access.
