Had something fairly sizeable sent to me via Post Haste.

This is the first time that I've been sent something through them....

And, they've lost it. I don't get how it could get lost as it is quite large and heavy.  Maybe stolen or hidden from view in their warehouse?

They are being very proactive in trying to rectify the situation (much better than NZ post was when they lost my harddrive).  I thought i'd have to wait days/weeks to get this all resolved but they are trying to get it fixed today by asking the supplier to send another item now and sort out the paperwork / compo later.

I have found them pretty good. I believe they also run under the brands on NZ couriers and Pass the parcel. NZ post is very difficult to deal with in these situations where things get lost/broken.

Banana?

We use Posthaste, they are pretty good at owning up to 'losing' parcels (we probably send 100 a day and they lose a tiny percentage of that). They will get us to resend, and charge the item to them.

My only (small) issue with them is everything is next day.

I ordered something from one of our suppliers on Tuesday (some cables from CDLNZ). Ordered at 11am, I had them here before 3pm. Didn't ask for same day, and the parcel said next day but obviously the courier was coming here, or going past, or went back to a depot and handed it over (CourierPost  - picked up Albany, dropped off Glenfield). With PH, that would have been next day no matter what. No biggie, but you'd think they'd want it through the system and gone efficiently if possible.

Pfffff. I got them to process an insurance claim for a damaged article delivered from the US in under 9 months. All I had to do was mediate between the sender, NZ Post, and USPS constantly for the duration, and NZ Post only lost the damaged article twice in that time. And to be fair, the first time, they only lost it because they delivered it to me again instead of their damaged goods centre.

The other problem with them, is they don't refund the cost of postage, even though they never actually furfilled the delivery contract. So even though they refund the 'cost' of the damaged or missing item, you are still out of pocket.

They seem OK so far -- they called back when they said, and were calling my supplier to try and get them to send another.

Thought that was quite cool.

The one time I was sent an item via Post Haste I was far from impressed. I had bought some professional lighting equipment for an event after I was assured by the retailer they could get it from Auckland to Christchurch in time.

It took 8 days for a 2 day delivery service. I ended up having to hire all the equipment, because the stuff I bought didn't arrive until 4 days after the event for which it was required.

I had a good old rant on the retailer's FB page which I shared on GZ here
