joker97: Using apostrophes to denote anything other than possession.

So its ok if people miss them out in contraction's?!

@jonathan18: Please, please, please tell me that apostrophe you missed and the one you added were deliberately ironic, or sarcastic, or something?

Peoples (People's?) lack of awareness in ones surroundings

No offense but forum posters who used to live in the UK and now live in New Zealand who must compare everything to the UK and how great the UK is

nzkiwiman: Peoples (People's?) lack of awareness in ones surroundings

I will give you another example. When I am walking down a busy street (e.g. Lambton Quay) I glance over my shoulders before "overtaking" slow walkers. I glance before stopping and I try to move as left as possible to be close to a wall so to not prevent foot traffic flow. So what really annoys me is people who just stop anywhere or just decide to pull out of the path without considering other people.

Yes, "lack of awareness in one's surroundings" is another small annoying thing.

freitasm: This happened to me last weekend. Straight street, guy slowdown, without indicating and stops, on the middle of the road, just so a woman leaving a petrol station could get into the road. Meanwhile people behind him...

Just yesterday, I was a pedestrian wanting to cross a street. I was not at a pedestrian crossing, and I was standing a fair distance back from the kerb so as to not look like I was in any sort of hurry. A driver decides to stop in the middle of the road to let me cross, and to and hold up the 6-7 cars behind him...

Speaking of crossings.... Courtesy crossings. Pedestrians just think they have right of way and that the car will stop, so they walk out then get p***ed off when a car almost hits them. The car does not have to stop and let you go. You must wait, unless they wave you on/stop for you.

Try getting around town in a chair....

The entrance or exit of a elevator is not a conference room, neither is the shop aisle nor doorways.
The footpath is not a social club.
The shop floor is not shelving.
Sometimes it does take a few seconds to mount the kerb and get out of the way of cars at lights so leave ones hands off the horn.

and so on ......

People that use the water jug and leave it empty....
If you finish it takes 10 seconds to fill it up and turn it on so the next person has it.
