I got suckered - "Shooting  at Bachelorette" headline... I thought, wow, someone got really upset at missing out and went postal. But nah .... pity

My thoughts are no longer my own and is probably representative of our media-controlled government

Gawd, TVNZ are starting to do it now.  Just before an ad-break One News run a wee 'promo' about what else is coming up later in the bulletin.  Tonight Peter Williams actually said: "You won't believe...." to entice us to watch the stories still to come (which, incidentally, was quite interesting this time).

For reasons unknown, Stuff just stared showing a "Breaking News - Earthquake hits Christchurch" headline tonight for ~5 minutes just before, linking the article about the quake the other night. Gone now, I think someone figured out they broke something.

Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

I saw that. The article wasn't even the breaking news article. It was the followup piece written the next day.

On the story with the wee little doggy taking a nip out of a child, on the link it said that the child had serious injuries, in the story the policeman was quoted as saying the child's injuries were not serious.  Stuff need to read their own stories before writing the headlines.

Yes, but the fact that throughout history the odd person has been nipped by a dog with no particular consequences is no contribution to the mass anti-dog hysteria currently present in NZ....
