Watched Safe House on iTunes. Not bad, 7.5/10...

Watched Puss in Boots in flight coming back from the USA. Not bad but not brilliant as I expected: 6/10

Still in the plane watched Taken and it was better than expected, still 7.5/10.

Watched Up in the Air for a second time, also in another flight. A lot of things in common with my life - I spent many hours flying around attending to projects during the 90s, early Monday flight out, late Friday flight back in (and not only one year, but actually quite a few years)... But I wasn't fired. Still think it's 8/10.

scuwp: I give Prometheus a solid 7/10. It's one that has to be seen in 3D on the big screen to appreciate the cinematography. I also liked it wasn't chock full of CGI, but good old SFX stuff, makes it a lot more realistic.

Marked down as lacking a bit of character development for me, apart from the 2 lead roles I just didn't get the other characters at all.

Yeah, character development and cohesiveness weren't quite up to scratch, but I really, really enjoyed the ride.

Like the tie-ins with Alien, especially with the space jockey thing that appeared in Alien in the earlier scenes.

My very metal Doctor Who theme

puss'n'boots 2 out of 10, same ol' same ol'

Lockout - 10 out of 10, some cgi is a little budget at the beginning but overall a very good movie. Fresh, very very funny and a couple of twists at the end. A surprising lower budget film that had better scripting dialogue than some big budget flicks.

A thousand words (eddie murphy) 7 out of 10. A movie about a man that get's linked to a tree and when he speaks the tree slowly dies and so does he. A comedy kind of, really well done. Not the usual Eddie Murphy stuff, very mature comedy. Would watch again.

Wanderlust - not sure if I liked or hated it. Some funny stuff here and there, Jennifer showing her age a little. Maybe not her best work. Can't really rate it, still unsure about it especially with the nudist shots ;-)

3/10 and that's being generous.  I only stuck in there til the end hoping it would get better. It didn't.

In Time (2011) - Entertaining sci-fi dystopia. Justin Timberlake.

Bad reviews from sites I would otherwise trust but it is significantly better.

The director/writer is Andrew Niccol also known for Gattaca and The Truman Show.

Shock: Prometheus - 7/10

Controversial movie amongst my group of friends! Ridley Scott has been saying for a while it's not a true prequel to Aliens and he means it. Think of it as a starting point with many possible routes, the Alien series of movies being one route. It is still a good sci-fi movie and there is so much to talk about after. I don't want to spoill it for those who are yet to see it but if I can recommend anything, watch the viral vids before going and don't go in with preconceived ideas as to what it should be.

Also a visually stunning movie. Proper 3D (not post production) made this movie excellent to become immersed in. You forget you are watching it in 3D.

Disrespective - agree on the plot lines. Not enough time to explore them all in the time frame and certainly could have its own trilogy following the 'other' story.

I loved it (see avatar).
Will be my 5th time seeing it this tuesday.

gzt: Prometheus 7/10

A worthy prequel to the first movie on the same scale and better than the rest. The introduction of the expected type aliens didn't have any real surprises, but other than that plenty of good plot points and interest (mainly in the first half). Yes, some of them are unexplained.

A big chunk of it is explained, you just have to look deeper.

Up to my 5th viewing and I'm still discovering stuff.
