Got an email from Fulton Hogan that one of their HR-related vendors "PageUp" had a data breach.

Years ago I applied for something there but in hindsight it was a mistake to allow them to retain my information for future opportunities.

Unfortunately it not only includes all the information you'd normally send in a job application but also addresses and drivers license details.

Bit annoying really. They say passwords were not compromised (I don't reuse passwords anyway) but that it looks like data was accessed.

Apparently they discovered this on May 23rd.

I got the email from Fulton Hogan tonight but went straight to spam, if you've applied for anything with them you'll want to check.

Have since removed my account with these people. Annoyed at the amount of personal information possibly exposed there.

  1. Other companies that also use PageUp are Fujitsu and BOC / Elgas. If you have ever applied for a job with those companies, you are affected.
  2. "Have since removed my account with these people." - Good start. Ideally, you should first update the profile with empty / blank info as much as possible before deleting the account. Then, even if the account is 'recovered', only empty/blank data is 'recovered'.
  3. undecided That took a long time for FH to notify you (more than 30 days). BOC notified their affected staff on 07-Jun already.
  4. "but also addresses and drivers license details" - Sounds nearly as bad as the Exactis breach.
  5. Considering all the other breaches listed on GZ, it might be time for a dedicated Security forum?

Please keep this GZ community vibrant by contributing in a constructive & respectful manner.
