Ge0rge: What's an NTU?
Network Termination Unit as used in an ISDN line.
https://networkencyclopedia.com/network-termination-unit-ntu/
How do I avoid watching political discussions that I really can't stand without trapping myself inside a bubble? When I hear Retrumplicans on Fox, or Government MPs slashing budgets while insisting they care about medicine and science, or anyone who espouses views that really, really do annoy me, how can I give these things a fair hearing when I can't stand to listen to the idiots espousing them? Same with conspiracy theories. Basic respect says I should at least hear them out. My sanity says to slam the bubble and get the hell away. I am an old person and I don't want to waste what little time I have left paying attention to stupid things. How do I avoid that without shutting out worthwhile stuff that I just happen to not agree with?

You need to respect yourself and not others. Just tell them to eff off with their crap and leave.

I wasn’t sure whether to start a topic in the Spark forum, so I’ll try here first.
We are travelling to the UK for an extended period. When I look at how much of my admin requires 2FA on my phone (Spark NZ number), I’m wondering what happens if my phone is lost or stolen? Easy enough to buy a replacement phone while away but how do I set it up with my same phone number?
You cant, which is another reason why SMS is crap at being another factor.
Just an update on this.
I went into the local Spark store and they said it can be done as long as a “nominated person” with photo ID goes into a physical store here (in NZ) to arrange it. The eSIM link can then be sent to a nominated email. For security reasons it is time restricted and has to be done real time while in store. I hope it doesn’t happen but I would rather not be without my number for an extended period while away.
When I asked at OneNZ in the case of my wife’s phone, their answer was as richms stated above “Nope, can’t be done.” Not sure about 2Degrees, I didn’t ask.
I’m wondering if things like banking, airline, car rental, etc apps can be set up to use an Authenticator?

They said that, now let me know how you get on when you have someone standing in a store trying to get it done being stonewalled by someone who knows that their job could be on the line if they allow someone to get simjackked.
The best solution is to tell all these places that think SMS is a viable form of 2 factor that it is not 2 factor and doesn't fit in with your processes.
At the moment I am being constantly nagged by the bunnings site and powerpass app to set up 2 factor, and the only option they offer is a SMS to a single mobile number.
These idiot places seem to think that people only have one phone, they always have that one phone on them, and that they always have service from that one phone provider available to them.
I purchased an item online for pickup. They said wait until we email you before picking up. Didn't hear anything so after four days I phoned them and asked about the email. They said it had been sent but "... check your spam folder - most of our customers find our emails go there".
Can a company do anything about the format/style (whatever) of their emails to reduce the likelihood of it being classed as spam?
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Would you trust buying these and could they be fakes and would they be guaranteed to be original Apple.

If you have never interacted with an email from them before, then it is more likely to go to spam.
Other than making sure they have all the SPF and DKIM set up, there is not much else to do other than not put emojis in the subject which seems to rate quite high for spam filters to tag the email.
Really if you have email filtering in place, its up to you to check the spam folder if you have not heard from someone.

Yes, I would have no concerns about it. For me DSE have been good and good with replacement credit etc in the odd cases where needed.
I have seen people mention delivery time in relation to DSE. Personally I would not order from anywhere at all overseas if I need something in a set timeframe with Amazon supply chain excepted. That one says it leaves warehouse in 1-2 business days. Should be ok but you need a lot of leeway between here and a series of freight dispatchers in aus. My ballpark would be three to four weeks and even then I know things can get hung up somewhere and then you're in six to eight week territory which is not a problem if you're happy with it.
Am more concerned that they are termed international AirPods. Am sourcing for someone older so don’t want to point her to a fake pair. These are cheaper by almost $100 so it made me suspicious.
gzt: I don't see "international" on that page myself. I'm not sure what that might mean for airpods.
