Geektastic: Is it compulsory for YT people to own a guitar and have it visible in the background?

It promotes an image of being cultured and artistic - like having an eclectic collection of unread books on shelves behind them.

Jaaa. Jokes on you. I've opened them to look at the pictures.

Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21

Ah - the opposite of Playboy - where people say they buy it mainly to read the great articles in there.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

A friend of mine legitimately referenced Penthouse in a research publication, because they were willing to run stories on the Vietnam War that no-one else would.

I feel that a rule should be in place. Unless they can play Stairway to Heaven without error, their guitar will be removed and burned. 😈

And if they play Stairway to Heaven their fingers will be removed and burned.

Also I reckon the qualification should be playing Through the Fire and the Flames.

True guitar nerds never play anything through from beginning to end, they'll just do the hard parts and jump to something else.

In the case of a lot of Dragonforce songs (who did TTFAF, the one I referenced above), the hard parts are the entire song.  One example is Cry for Eternity which has never been performed live.

Does anyone know where to buy sheets of rubber? I'm thinking something 2-3 mm thick that I can cut down to size for a project. I can't find anything on the Bunnings website (although the search isn't very good), and while I did find this at Mitre 10 it's out of stock and not available for delivery.

Any ideas?

Thanks. I had no idea Para was still around!

This looks even more appropriate, now that I know it exists :)

Are plasterers who can skim coat, considered better than average plasterers?

There are plasterers who can't skim coat?  I thought that was part of the job.
