Am getting no help from Trade Me. I have a couple of items in my cart and can’t add my credit card to complete the purchase. Each time I try to add it a small pop up comes up from the bottom with one word, unauthorised. Have updated the app, checked the card numbers and dates, ensured my settings in bank app allow online purchases. Have used this same card many times before on TM app.

Have tried their human chat which referred me to email. Emailed and after a couple responses nothing more from them and problem persists. Any thoughts?

Not sure where to post this - not really big enough to warrant its own thread - and it's not a 'smile' or 'annoy'.

I just saw a NZH story about Sir Elton John who has eyesight problems - loss of vision in one eye (which may or may not be permanent) due to an infection - and his other eye is ‘not the greatest’. He says he hasn’t been able to work for months.

Brilliantly talented musical genius but I can’t help thinking he’s being a bit precious. Perhaps he could take inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles or José Feliciano or numerous others.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Feel that's a bit tough. Losing your eye sight or hearing would really suck. It's a tough age to adjust to such major changes, and he has a young family it will impact his ability to enjoy.

Yeah, are there worse off people, sure, but doesn't mean it isn't tough for him. He's not complaining he can't fit an extra hot tub into his palace...

Also, he was asked, he didn't come out looking for sympathy as I understand it.

I wish him nothing but the best - but it could also be that he doesn't really want to work any more. I wouldn't blame him.

Stevie, Ray & Jose were either born blind or lost their sight as children so their experience won't be much help to an elderly person.

Don't think you'd get much advice about anything at all out of Ray Charles these days to be honest.

Thanks for explaining "plethora".

It means a lot.

No, although I hear the estate of John Cage is suing him for repeated unauthorised performances of 4'33".

Because the Macquarie Dictionary has declared enshittification Word of the Year but not enf***ification?

Which makes it difficult to reference documents like this, based on this original (totally SFW).

In Ireland you just change the U to and E and all of sudden it becomes acceptable despite meaning exactly the same thing.

Feck off!

Edit, even gets through the Geekzone filters!
