Is the rest home gentleman 108 years old?
Apart from that, are you saying you signed in with your account to set up his TV?
No, didn’t need to sign in. He used it as guest but they require an age input before it will go to the movies.
When I downloaded to my android at home, tried as guest but it wouldn’t go further. Gave me an oops message. Tried on my iPad as well, same.
Just wondered if others can use it. Am suspecting they possibly use a VPN at the rest home.
Go to Info for the app (hold your finger on its icon) and see if clearing cache/data fixes it
How does the Herald decide which items should be premium? Of course we all have our suspicions but I wonder what, if any, specific guidelines there are. A lot of it seems pretty random.

Machine learning, i.e. optmisation via maximum likelihood estimation or gradient descent or similar.
Rikkitic: How does the Herald decide which items should be premium?
Friend of mine works for a government department and they occasionally get links via internal email to work-relevant articles. All of them end up being paywalled. So one possible metric would be if it's clickbait garbage it's free, if it's good journalism, or at least what passes for that at the Herald, it's paywalled.
Wait, so do some articles start off without the paywall then get set as such afterwards?
How long does Yeast last once opened? I have active yeast and stuff that isn't labelled active. Must it be stored in the fridge?

i usually keep the dry one in the fridge and sometimes in the freezer. Xmas time I used one marked 2022 and it was still working fine. If it’s fresh yeast, best to cut it into portions, wrap and freeze. If you keep it in the pantry it will last but not as long.

Yes, approx. 1-2 weeks. It keeps longer and does not spoil, but the microbiological activity decreases rapidly.
How do you test whether expired yeast still has leavening power?
If you have decided to bake with yeast that has recently expired, you should test its leavening power beforehand. This also makes sense if the yeast is about to expire. Here's how to do it:
Fill a glass with lukewarm water.
Stir in a teaspoon of sugar.
Add a little yeast.
If the yeast is still buoyant, it will float to the top. After about 10 minutes it should start to foam up. In this case, the yeast is still potent enough to use for baking. However, if it remains at the bottom without reacting with the sugar, it is unsuitable. Use fresh yeast.

It seems that way as I have had links shared with me from people who dont have a premium and then I find its locked and I complain about it and they say it wasnt when they shared.
If I test as per tinkerisk recommendation is ilany foaming considered satisfactory or is there a scale? Ie is a little bit of foaming indicative of lowered efficiency of yeast vs lots or if it foams it's good to go regardless?

If it still foams slightly, it is still working. If it reacts more strongly, it still has full power. Whether the cake or bread rises high enough depends heavily on the baking recipe. If it does not foam at all, it is dead.
