On Android phone? Update their Google Business listing. And if people have that phone in their contacts then it will show up regardless.

This only works if all outgoing calls come from the same number. If the business uses something like DDI / Teams then each person has their own number (depending on settings), making things harder.

Thanks. Will that cover iPhones as well ? Secondly, if the customer has a 0800 and the landlne, can you associate both with the name?

I think things will trickle down. And yes, multiple phones.

My local Night 'n Day does, so presumably they all do, although it doesn't look like there are any on the North Shore.

Ah, thanks, wasn't aware of them.  Looks like the closest one to here is Henderson.

Is that what you use to corral a donkey in?

Tried one once and quickly realised I prefer a straight one.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

They didn't really seem to be substantially cheaper than other sources.

You need to be open to trying lots of new things and not really knowing what you're getting.

I'm spending a night at a budget motel in the near future. Today they sent me an email reminding me about my booking, along with a statement that I still have time to upgrade to a private bathroom. This made me have a panicked check of my booking, because it conjured up an image of a communal toilet and shower.

All is well: the upgrade is literally to get a room with a bath. Without the upgrade, I still get a private toilet and shower.

My question is whether you think this is deliberate scaremongering, or whether I just misunderstood the email. How would you interpret a statement like that?

Have you ever come across a "screen Saver" pc that shows weather news etc bit like the alexa picture frame screen. Got a 17" laptop with a screwed battery but other wise works fine.

the free version of dakboard is what I have running on a couple of screens - gives me a calendar and my todo list from google. Other things to add to it are paid options. If you look at it then you should get other suggestions start to get advertised to you.

Do you think any of the ASB staff standing around talking to each other are being inconvenienced by my presence as a customer?

Aparently not. They seem to enjoy your presence and are quite happy to leave you standing there.
