Are all under bench water filter cartridges the same? Does anyone have a recommendation on a filter cartridge they like?
What is it you are trying to achieve? There isn't really need to filter most New Zealand water so it comes down to what benefit it is you are seeking.
Taste. Our first water filter was good the second and third not so much. Unfortunately, can't recall the brand of the first one. We mistakenly assumed they would all be pretty much identical. Given filtered tap water in restaurants varies so much we probably should have known better.
You’ll want some sort of activated carbon filter then.
You have to be careful some use coconut as a source of carbon and from the prices some use burnt $100 notes.

The under bench filter we use was great, but the cartridge model is no longer available and the replacement has only lasted 6 months, at most.
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Food Bag has recently started giving me recipes for "pre-prepped" meals. Tonight's is "pre-prepped herby lamb leg steak".
What on earth does "pre-prepped" mean? To prepare something is to get it ready in advance, so to pre-prepare something is to... still get it ready in advance? And the recipes themselves don't seem to be materially different from the regular recipes (they certainly don't ask you to get things ready e.g. the night before), I'm at a total loss as to what it even means.
Although the cynic in me says it's just a meaningless marketing buzzword. Am I right?
If public displays of gang patches are now banned, why does RNZ keep posting photos of them on its web site?

Where in NZ can I find packs of solid colour 10 ply wool for a reasonable price? My daughter has gotten into knitting, and it seems like wool is stupidly expensive.
I was thinking I should be able to get like 5 colours in a pack for $20 or something.

Wife does regular sorties into Spotlight, especially during the sales.
They do have bags of mixed colours and ply.
Knitting needles etc from Aliexpress though. for the price one pair, Aliexpress offers a prepackaged range of sizes.
Yarn can also be cheaper at Aliexpress

An Uncle Bills store if you have them up North. Temu etc. 8 ply is more the norm. 10 ply is always very expensive.

How much difference will it make if some of a scarf has been done with 10 ply and the rest with 8 ply?
Scarf can be made in 8 ply no issues at all. Gauge doesn’t matter much in a scarf as there is no fitting, size that will change. If using a pattern for it, then just go up one needle size. The Warehouse have super large balls of wool in 8 ply, used to be about $12 for about 300grams perfect for learners. I bought same for granddaughter.
Called Uniti Jumbo yarn 300g $13 at The Warehouse.
