Rikkitic: Everything edible has been wrapped in plastic since the 1950s. Why are we only now hearing that it is bad for us?

Because combining plastics with microwave ovens.

Also, public funded science always does take a while to catch up with commercial product innovation..

Sometimes in cases where corporations know already during product development. For example Thalidomide and similar cases.

It's like the Romans and their lead glazing. Clearly we haven't learned much since then. Maybe all those chemicals have dulled our brains.

Ok so my headphone post is in the right topic. That's good. No replies. Either all the cool people are using the bud version now or no headphone user looks for headphones posts in the home theater topic

I use buds when walking around and earphones at home.

Does anyone know how to get the actual error when Windows tells you this?

It's a utility that I developed myself and it's working for some users and not others. All computers should have the same configuration. So far the only difference I can find is that it fails if you're in Tauranga, but that's probably a red herring, given the sample size of five :)

Looks like a generic error to me. It is what Windows says when it can't figure out what the problem is.

Now I'm wondering whether it's a replication issue: corrupted file on the Tauranga server? If the .exe can't be read, then a generic message makes sense. Thanks for the pointer :)

Edit: That seems to be exactly what it was! Deleted the file and uploaded it again, forcing replication to re-run, and now it's working for Tauranga users. What are the chances?!

Edit 2: Or not. It's working for some but not all. Sigh.

A little downward pressure and hand whacking it laterally did the trick. It's amazing what you can achieve after a good lunch!

Eracode's suggestion made me think of Google Lens which I didn't end up using, after one more go.

I haven't been super impressed on my ASB Kiwisaver returns and wondering about switching to a new provider. Is there a way to see what my Kiwisaver would have done with other providers over the last 3 years for example?
