Do many geeks here watch NASA TV?
How is your performance of the stream?
I have watched with varying degrees of success for many years.
At work and at home, I can stream the standard NASA TV steam pretty well, it's acceptable quality
However at home now I really want a better quality stream to watch on TV.
This helpful comment on Slashdot links to several versions of the stream.
The 1200k/s stream looks fantastic, but I can only stream a few seconds before it will stop.
I tried late last night at home, Waitakere City Auckland, still with no success. (No other machines using the WiFi, torrents stopped etc of course). I am using VLC on MacBook running 10.6.2. BigTime is my plan.
The stream is Yahoo/Akamai, does anyone know much about these?
Is it possible to connect to a local Amakai server directly?
This is the stream I use most.

The NASA TV page does not link through to the Yahoo streams, I can't find a directory of Yahoo NASA streams.
Also I read that the Yahoo streams may be delayed 1 or 2 minutes, this is fine with me, I would prefer a better quality of stream with a delay.
Cheers,
Joseph.
