so i decided to claim insurance on my iphone finally after the network would drop out heaps even after software restore. This is because the phone itself has sufferd heavy impact damage so the screen has shattered in many pieces leaving bits of glass missing off the unit.
When i tried to claim isurance they said they had a special person who can order screens overseas and replace it, now i allready had a repair statement confirming the network issue and screen fault but for some reason ami decided not to even bother reading it. I can understand they want to save money by just replacing the screen but the iphone is heavily damaged, aswell as apple 00800 said they would crossover my apple care warranty as the one i broke was still on manufacturers warranty.
So this means i cannot use it on the rapaired one on apple care as it will be tampered with plus the network issue was not related to the screen. My mate last week claimed his iphone on state insurance which was in much better condition than mine and he got it replaced no questions asked.
Any advice?

I'm not sure how a network issue qualifies for compensation from your insurance company????

It might just be me but I find your post really confusing and difficult to follow, especially towards the end.

Well it seems you have two issues..

The insurance company stating they will replace the screen, but you also have a faulty iphone that has network problems. Now you are adamant that the network problem is a result of impact damage. If that is the case and AMI have accepted the claim then they have to ensure the repair includes faults caused by the accident.

Its kind of like them saying to somebodies house that had a flood, we will change the carpet, but leave the rotting floor boards. If what I assume you are saying is true, simply stand up to the claims people; its insurance 101 to reduce/not pay out on as many claims as they can!!
