...and hopefully some more recording. I'm covering a Cure song with an industrial metal tinge.

If it's as good as your Dr. Who cover, bring it on !!!

As per most weekends, nothing definite planned, but as per normal, the weekend filled up with a myriad of tasks, so no relaxing.

Watched Avtar, and a couple of other movies Friday nite with no. 1 son, then dropped him off at his league match warmup (U20's Hibiscus Coast Raiders), a garden centre visit to get compost, then went to the aforementioned league game, hung around for a couple of beers for the victory celebrations over Richmond ( yeah !!) And no 1 son scored a try to boot ! Plays @ #9 spot.

Gave away a couple of warriors game tickets there. (duh - should've kept them - the weather cleared up by the evening, and the Warriors won a home game .. grr... )

The fortnight shopping experience between his game and home. (Note to self - take ear plugs next time - the wailing wahines on the Musac system grates your nerves ....)

As for Sunday, building up a chicken hutch. Yep, having a go at raising a few chooks. Have 11 eggs incubating in the hot water cabinet. A plastic box lined with silvered mylar and a 40w lightbulb. Kept at around 38 degrees. I had 12 eggs but killed one ...

Hmm, getting any more silvered mylar could be tricky - got my last batch from the switched on gardener. Damably ridicuous having my details on a police register if I buy any more from there.

Sunday eve - experimental cooking sessions .... I try an aim for a big pot of curry that will last me a couple of days for dinner and work lunches. Usually try different types and cuts of meat. Tonight - gravy beef and Asian Gourmet Indian Meat Curry - Rogan Josh. Will be simmering for a couple of hours .... If I post tomorrow, then  will have survived :-)

Nice to have a lazy rainy Sunday.

Saturday arvo was spent getting tattooed at my mate's place.

My very metal Doctor Who theme

Handsomedan: Well, I am not playing football now sad old ankles let me down at training last night and now i need to take a week off to recover.

The good news is I am taking the wife off the see Avenue Q on Sunday night...her birthday present from me.

Really looking forward to that!

Let us know how it goes :) the wife was wanting to go to that, but the fact that its' in Auckland is a bit of a pain

Well I have to say, it was one of the best nights out I have had in a long time and it was certainly one of the best presents I have bought my wife in many years!!!

Unexpectedly good and expectedly ribald. It was funny, moving and sing-along toe-tapping goodness.

I would recommend going to see it to anyone with an open mind...with a song list that includes "Everyone's a little bit racist", "The Internet is for Porn" and "You can be as loud as the hell you want when you're making love" it might offend the unwary.

Handsome Dan Has Spoken.
