I have recently uploaded a new website of mine: http://www.broadbandme.co.nz (Broadband And Me) it is a New Zealand Broadband Providers & Broadband Reviews website. It is lacking in the Broadband Reviews side of things at the moment, as it is only a few months old, so I thought I would post a request here for GZ users to submit reviews to the site as it would be very helpful, for people looking for reviews on broadband companies in NZ.

You can submit your Broadband reviews by going here: http://www.broadbandme.co.nz/reviews/

Thanks in advance.

Far far too many google ads. Also due to the number of people who use telecom, and the fact that many people who write reviews, are going to write negative ones due to problems people have had, you are going to end up with a site full of people complaining about their bigtime being taken away from them. You would also need to make sure that what people are saying is factually correct for legal reasons.

Ads - what ads ? Oh yeah, AdBlock... (turns off) - hmm could get rid of a few but have seen worse.

Is there anything to stop me from spamming your site with bad reviews of a particular ISP ?

Otherwise, nice layout and idea...

You will have a few problems there:

- if you provide a place for people to write, under New Zealand law you are a publisher. And publishers are responsible for anything posted, if the other party feels offended. Make sure you have a good lawyer lined up.

- You are using the company logos. Have you asked for written authorisation?

Not to mention that people don't have to submit any of their personal details, not even their name or email address. Therefore competitors could just submit fake reviews, or people could just resubmit bad reviews.
If I was running such a site, I would want the reviewers contact details, incase a review is questioned by one of the companies being reviewed.

I find http://www.ispfind.co.nz/ useful for comparing ISP prices. I look at value for money and service when selecting a broadband provider. Good luck getting the right feedback for your site's ISPs.

That site needs an update, there is no prevision for all the mobile providers.

Thanks for the feedback.

In response.

As for the Ads, Google allows you to place a max of 3 ads on a page, so since this is the main source of income for the site I have done this.

You are only able to submit a max of 2 reviews per IP Address, if you do more then you won't be able to submit anymore for another hour.

As for the publishing legality, if there is anything posted on the site that might be considered offensive I will remove it. As for the company logos I do not have permission from all the companies but I do for some of them, if they do not like it, then I am sure they will contact me about it and I can easily remove their company from the site, I have had experience with this in the past with my old broadband site http://broadband.t5.co.nz and most companies are happy to be listed on the site for free and even provide me with content and images.

I agree it would be a good idea to have the contact details of those submitting reviews, I will add this feature to the site soon.

Yes both those sites: http://www.ispfind.co.nz and http://www.nzconnections.net.nz are good but broadbandme.co.nz is different from them because it is a broadband reviews and deals website so it has that element to it and as far as I know it is the first of its kind in NZ.

cool site, some breaks are needed on the left column to separate the review links.
