cgrew: If I was a child brought up by two dudes I wouldn't be a happy chap that I can tell you.. Especially later in life with my high school years, imagine trying to deal with that? It's simply ridiculous that people here agree with same sex child adoption. Wake up. Before it's too late.

I dare say you'd feel a bit different about it if it were the case.  What if it were two hot chicks?  That would probably help with your cred, I guess.

Also does the child get a choice as to whether it would like a Mother and Father vs 2 Mothers or 2 Fathers? Do we know how changing the natual order of things will affect these children in later life?

I fully agree with what geekiegeek is saying here.

So? that kid needs good friends. I have a bunch of absolutely great friends who never treated me any different when they found out I was gay. I get the odd remark from randoms around my school but its only the juniors that do it. If the kid gets the right friends then the kid will be absolutely fine. And you cant fairly say what it would be like having your mind in a child. Your most likely way past your school years so your mind has matured (ish) and developed its own "ideas". If a kid is adopted pre-school years then its raised in an open minded family and will know that their adoptive parents love them. Unless they had someone like you as a parents before being sent for adoption and you brainwashed the kid to hate anyone who was a minority, then I could see why we'd have a problem. And wake up before its too late for what? An army of gay zombie kids running round raping every single man? Get over it. You never ever hear about gay men raping other men. Its just un heard of and so rare.

@cgrew

So it's not the parenting ability you have an issue with it's the fact that a child could be teased for having two dads!? These same children will have grown up at school together from kindergarten, it will not be unusual to them. Attitudes like that come from parents attitudes as children learn what they're taught. Children will get teased for all sorts of things and having two dads or two mums probably wouldn't get any more teasing than them having a bad car!

The less attitudes like yours perpetuate the easier it would be for everyone.

I'm not saying that gay people would make bad parents. I'm just saying that I think that it is changing the natural order of things and I personally dont agree with that.

Sure you should have the same rights re property and devorce etc but having a child is not just a question of man made law like the other things I have mentioned. It is a law of nature.

This is the reason we dont allow cloning and GE in human reproduction - just because we can do things that change the natual order, it doesnt make it right.

I think he'll also find that most kids are judgmental about the kids appearance more than anything. Kid is either too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, looks like an idiot, walks like an idiot etc... Kids have heaps of other stuff to give kids hassle about other than their gay parents. Unless the kid tells everyone its parents are gay then most people at the school wont even know!

What about firing a rocket at a meteor coming to destroy earth? That changes the natural order of things, are you against that? The rocket saves peoples lives from the meteor. Just like in gay adoption, the kid being the earth, gay parents being the rocket, and the meteor being the sad life the kid would have had otherwise.

Whats the natural order?
Does this mean you don't agree with c-sections, vitamins, living past 30-40 due to modern medicine or being able to fly? (god didn't give us wings for a reason, etc)

@geekiegeek

We weren't naturally designed to wear clothes either, or drive cars, but most of us do both on a daily basis. The list could go on with that one.

Selective equality isn't equality. You would feel different if it was affecting your choices in life

What's more natural than two people who love each other caring for and bringing up a child!? Just because those two people happen to be of the same sex has more to do with the way society has conditioned people to be rather than any natural order!

Geez now I'm being stereotyped.

That's a little O.T.T (over the top) don't you think?

And no I was not meaning that tardtasticx, personally I don't see how the kid deserves to have same sex parents considering he or she never got an option there. I agree with geekiegeek in saying that it's just not natural. That is my point of view so take it how you please.

Well what if a kid wants two gay parents? did you ever consider that? The kid doesnt get an option then. I'm sure an adopted child would be super happy to get parents.

I think it's easy enough to spell someones name, unless you have difficulty with reading along with other things!

What is deserving to have same sex parents got to do with anything!? It makes no difference. You really need to get off your computer and meet more real people if you feel a couple of the same sex is not natural!

Yeh we were designed with feet to walk everywhere, but who walks anywhere now days? Its all by car/bus/train whatever. Like someone else said in a previous reply, we were made without wings so why do we have planes? Are cars, trains, bus's and planes un-natural now? What about the "forbidden fruit"? The apple that God forbid Adam and Eve from eating, but every single person has eaten them. Surely thats un-natural since it goes against God's so unfairly high standards he expects of all of us.

And as I am living proof, being gay is natural too.

How far back would you like to take this? Under your reasoning women are nothing more that baby makers who have no other purpose in life than to product children. Men are there to impregnate women and to go out and hunt, apart from providing food to his family he has no other purpose in raising children! That might be how it is in your household but that is bot the way of most of society these days.
