My local nzdsl speedtest shows some reasonable results (around 300-400kbps) according to xtra as this is all they require to be broadband (greater than 256k) when ringing their support. I am on Go large. But having every other HTML page having errors (pictures not being shown, 404s) and downloads incredibly slow I decided to look towards international speedtest sites, since most of our traffic comes overseas and got these results from http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/:
Download Speed: 76 kbps (9.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 109 kbps (13.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Should these results be counted for when talking about what broadband is in New Zealand?
Sure thing my local traffic within new zealand is reasonable but how bout these results?
I have been on Adventure Pro and encountered no such difficulties.
Where can we find updates of Telecoms Progress into actually making use of their traffic management, seems like Everyone is subject to being throttled down at this rate. I am not a leecher and use the internet to watch foreign news, subscribing to them accordingly. I have not been able to watch any of these in this case. Does anyone else have these slow speedtests?
