Behodar: I got my blue envelope today. Fortunately none of the neighbours seemed to be around when I exclaimed "YES!" laughing

I thought I heard something in the distance..........(me too, by the way)

tstone: TBD for my street. Been that way on the Chorus website for about 3 years now.

I live in Glenfield , only about a km from exchange, and no indication of when UFB will be available either.
And I can't get VDSL so  stuck on ADSL.
The worst part is not knowing when you are going to get UFB or if you will ever get it.

Mine has changed from Jun 2015 about 2 months ago to March 2015 (w00t!).

No sign of work anywhere though (Waiheke Island). I hear they (Chorus) are bringing a new cable over from the mainland (Beachlands) as Waiheke is currently serviced by Fibre (one strand apparently) that Vector owns. I guess no point telling everyone they can get up to 100mbps until they have some backhaul.

Hmm. A couple of weeks ago the Chorus maps were listing availability of this month at my parents' place, and November at mine. Now both addresses are saying April 2015. A delay, or just an error?

Well, the Nov 14 thing was there just a day or three ago, and the blue envelope said start 11 Aug, finish 22 Sep, so hopefully Nov 14 is a bit more accurate, unless it really will take them 7 months to test everything.....

I seem to be stuck in an island surrounded by a sea of UFB activity...

Out West around Golf Road area - large swathes of New Lynn central are done, they are busy working up and down Portage road, Green Bay seems to be getting in on the action and we are sat in the middle with the dreaded "UFB Roll out plans for your area is still being developed"

Wah.

yell

Excellent :)

Parents' place is back to August too. Just yesterday Dad asked me about what's involved with getting it, so he must be interested :)

That's good news. Now just need to wait for the Telecom headline - 30/10 packages upgraded to 100/50 at no extra cost, to be announced 1 day before I sign up.....

That won't ever happen since the plans are a CFH regulated product. So unless you are getting over-charged for your 30/10 plan, or under-charged for your 100/50. It's not going to happen.
