Wheelbarrow01: Not too shabby...

I'm jealous, I wish my internet was this good. I am still not on Chorus's map so I guess I will be waiting a long time for it.

I just saw what looked like the Chorus guys blowing a fibre up one of the conduits from the cabinet in our street. Someone's gettin' UFB by the looks.

I got excited when when I saw fiber being put in the main road just off my street but then I found out it was going to a school and not me.

^^^

The street that I live in has had fibre installed since the beginning of 2013. A cul-de-sac off my street is where the house that's getting UFB, is.

(I saw the van there a bit later on this afternoon.)

We had a note in our letterbox advising fibre construction will be happening on our street within the next few weeks

I placed my first order for UFB back in May 2013. This week chorus is finally doing the the install this week. 11 months sounds reasonable for the install.

The last time I checked, my Howick area was "scheduled" to be completed in 2019!!! I've just had another look and it now says "UFB deployment dates for your area are still being developed"
Imo, Telecom screwed up badly by not rolling out UFB in the main metro areas first: they would have had close to 100% uptake by now. But I guess they just want to squeeze every last bit of free money from the copper network...

Telecom did not and are not deploying ufb. Crown fiber holdings is the party to blame for the Bizzare rollout schedule.

Dont forget that Telecom have got nothing to do with UFB roll out -  Crown Fibre Holdings are in control of organising the roll out and CFH using Statistics NZ demographic and economic data put forward to the Local Fibre Companys (In the case of Howick, Chorus) which areas they want installed as a priority - dont forget the roll out is only in the middle of year 3 of the 10 yr project and with this size project its only economical and practical to install small areas at a time.

qraider: Location: New Windsor, Auckland (right next to Blockhouse Bay)

Network capability: Broadband > 10 Mbps
Network upgrade scheduled: UFB deployment dates for your area are still being developed

So no VDSL or Fibre :/
Seems to be a blackhole as far as fast internet goes :(

Same area but closer to Blockhouse Bay, notice how some schools here also don't have a date, New Winsor School, Lynfield College, Marshal Laing, Halsey Drive Primary...

I am near may road school in Mt Roskill Auckland. I see UFB to the school at the end of our street and a few surrounding streets but it says plans are being developed. I am not sure if this means we won't see Fibre till 2019? Anyone from CFH able to comment?
