Hi people I hope someone can enlighten me on this. I'm relocating to Rolleston in June & the house has UFB &/or VDSL (vodafone) connection available. My current plan I have with Vodafone is 40gb cable modem in Lower Hutt with phone $75. I'm also a Battlefield 4 gamer (love this game) & current latency to Oz servers is 45ms being the best. I'm hoping to reduce this on another plan in Rolleston to help my bad gaming experience . I'm not a high traffic user & 40gb per month so far has been ok. Vodafone took over got rid of Telstra's On3Network NZ servers. :(
For UFB I've seen a few providers being Telecom, Orcon, worldnet, snap. Would it matter who is best provider to go with but also comes down best bang for your buck.
Being a gamer & internet surfer mainly a massive GB per month would be a waste. I don't download movies, programs etc. Who want 150gb per month anyway? :)
Is it worth going UFB or should i stick to a cheaper VDSL down there? Here at the moment in Lower Hutt on inhome Cable Internet has been pissing me off lately being quite sluggish & is not that fast for cable even tho it states up to 15mbps speed.
