This sounds exciting if it happens. I had a friend who was thinking of moving to a small town, was about to purchase a nice house with sea views, but decided against it because it wasn't on the UFB map.  I think the availability or otherwise of UFB will be a deal breaker in the next few years.  The author of the article, Pullar-Strecker, says the roll-out is progressing "satisfactorily".  This is high-praise coming from this one on UFB.  I think it's going better than "satisfactorily" but an interesting article none the less.
