off the back of this, I'm tempted to pull my transformers installed for my moving out and leave them running a dummy load for a day... See what if they are causing any RFI before i make the unrecoverable commitment.

12db profile very short lived thankfully this morning ddDLM changed me to 8db profile
Was a little worried as lightning on Monday gave me a few CRC, FECs and ES's
Back up to 70/24, profile back to 6db would be nice but may take a little longer

I've gone to 5775Mhz as centre frequency and 20Mhz channel width to be a good Wifi citizen
Should my Interleave depth decrease I may need to go to 40Mhz Channel Width as I seem to max out 20Mhz
Now note 10 and 13 do not apply as I'm using 10dbm = -20dbw, in your face regulations :)
Small note, setting Litebeam max power to 24dbm (-6dbw) still complies
The 10dBm you're talking about, is this power output or E.I.R.P taking the gain of the antenna in to calculation?
Judging by the fixed link, the maximum is 23dBm, but this takes in to account any antenna gain, it's an E.I.R.P measurement.
I didn't realise it was so low! It's 4 Watts after antenna gain in the 2.4GHz band (max 1 Watt in to antenna).
I know the lower part of 5GHz was for indoor use and only a few hundred milliwatts. I thought the higher part around 5.8GHz at one stage was the same as 2.4GHz, and way higher for a point to point single link. I guess the regs have changed a bit since I last read them.

The TX power is -4dBm, add on 23dBi of gain (if the Ubiquiti software doesn't include this in it's TX power output calculation), the output power is 19dBm (around 80mW). That's well within regs even if it doesn't include antenna gain. You have 4dBm output power spare if it's 23dBm.
My bad, the llimit in the upper part of the 5GHz band is still 23dbW not 23dBm. That's 200 Watts E.I.R.P, fixed poitn to point link.
You're only using 19dBm though (-11dBW).
Everything else that I can tell is -23dBm (-7dBW) which is 200mW as below. It used to be 4 Watts like 2.4GHz.
1000hrs continuous uptime would have been much longer but 1005 hours ago a lightning strike (further up valley) reset the power to modem
Very pleased with Solar/Battery running modem and Litebeam.
Stilling having quite a few FECs, last week ddDLM put me back on 6db SNR profile, which accelerated the FECs
No other errors to report.
If you want to use a metal waterproof box so that your controller can be closer to the modem, then putting an earth on it should help with blocking the RF interference.
Time to find a new industry!
Been thinking about that of late, even just earthing the Solar panel frame, where MPPT controller is on
Just not very easy getting a ground stake in.
I live on a terminal moraine, ground is as hard as the hobs of hell
Also wondering if the 12-24v converter (litebeam POE) is causing noise, this is in the box with modem
I could mount this by MPPT controller and run a CAT6 cable along 12v power cable to box
Would need to find a box for the 12v converter as not very water proof at all.
Don't think the FECs are too much of an issue, as ddDLM lowered my SNR with them happening

Was happily installing a fresh copy Windows on laptop Saturday night when all of a sudden no interweb
Working my way down the chain of devices to the road I discovered the Litebeam down by road not working
Was 10:30pm a bit late for wondering about in pitch black dark
Next morning went down, battery was on 5v, solar panel was outputting 36v, Modem was still working and synced
The MPPT controller I've had for many years had died, running the battery flat, must have dies a week or so ago,
So back to my other MPPT controller, couldn't leave that outside in the elements
Back in the box with battery it went
I turned the battery around sideways where it just fits in middle of the case.
On the far left placed the Modem also where VDSL comes in from pillar, on the far right placed the MMPT controller, with 12-24v converter
Was expecting an error fest like last time
But no, just the 20 FECs in as many hours
I'll leave it as is and see how this goes, battery might be acting as a very thick lead shield.

My connection is the first out of the village, I reckon about 800-1000m from Box, can't quite tell where the cable comes to the main road out of village.
Can't wait for Vectoring to come in and hopefully give me another wee boost.
Setup running like a charm, modem should today roll over another 1000hours of being online continuously
Lightning only thing that affects line conditions, had a couple of line resets with the thunderstorm a few weeks back, but more more blown computer parts, woohoo
