I'm with Snap Internet.

My local cabinet was upgraded to ADSL2+ last week.

I'm now synching at 20 Mb/s downstream.

The plans arent profiled to ADSL1. If youre on an upgraded cabinet. You will get ADSL2+ speeds automatically i believe. Someone correct me if im wrong!

most ISPs will, only a handfull which wont.

I get adsl2+ speeds with maxnet. As far as i know its only a few isps which cap thier plans to adsl1 unless stated as a adsl2+ plan.

VDSL2 was trialled in Ponsonby by Vodafone, Orcon and Telecom last year.  I believe Chorus/Orcon/Vodafone will be installing equipment into exchanges/cabinets later this year.

Telstra is offering VDSL2 to business customers over it's own network/fibre, eg: CBD and South Auckland.  It's very expensive but it's a business quality service with "gauranteed" speeds.

Im looking at changing from Xtra to vodafone, both adsl2+ both bundled with home phone.
The vodafone option for 20gb data is $90,
the Telecom option is $110 for the same amount of data.

Looks like I will be switching to Vodafone.

Are there any other providers out there with simalr product packs and prices?

Just one note about going from Telecom to Vodafone, which I did a couple of years ago (hence these problems may no longer exist) but I had funny issues such as voice mail I didn't ask for and wasn't paying for and a toll bar on national calls but not international calls that Vodafone had no record of and had to raise a fault back to Telecom to resolve.
