I'm on an Adventure plan, and I have exceeded my 20GB, yet I am not slowed. It has been at least a day. I notice the warning emails says 'MAY' slow your connection. If I reset my router, will I be reconnected at dialup?

I was also reading that they return your speed on the day before - is this true?

What is the best way to utilise the limits? Do save up your large, but unimportant downloads until the last day then use a lot and then reset your router?

There is usually a 4-6 hour delay in throttling, This is to ensure that you have exceeded your limit.

I have heard many Myths on how to get fast free over usage, but haven't had personal experience so can't comment.

Tho I do warn, if anyone does have a method that works and they post it here, then most likely say goodbye to it as Telecom / Other ISPs will fix it.

Well, 4-6 hour delay I can understand.

I'm still at fast speeds approximately 2 days and 5GB over my allowance.

Don't be fooled into thinking the reset time is dead on midnight either.

Much like banks (which process from 9pm on.. not magically transferring your funds at midnight like so many think) it appears random.

I have traffic usage checker in my taskbar checking every hour, last months limit rolled over at about 2 in the afternoon on a weekend.
