johnr: People have actually called 111 pi$$ed off with the police

One such call I know off had the caller admitting that they had looked at some *adult* themed websites which he than proceeded to list off (including content types) incase the Police were interested.....

Pity the Police just updated their webpage design (finally), the demands page doesn't look anything like the new design. Dam.

Hi

How do you get rid of this. As soon as the computer is turned on the police screen pops up and nothing seems to get rid of it, dont seem to have time to activate any virus soft ware etc??

Boot into safe mode, then run msconfig.exe and in the Startup tab, turn anything that is running from a temp folder, or which has a gibberish filename off. Then reboot and try your luck. You can probably turn everything off for now and then re-enable them once you've run a scan or identified it. There's probably mountains of stuff in there, some of which will actually be useful.
