Im looking for a free IR blaster so I can get XP or Vista to tell the Saturn Digital box to change channel.

I have an expensive HDD/DVD recorder that I dont just want to through away. I dont want to use linux, as the rest of the family has to be able to use it.

Thanks to sbiddle, IRcommand2 is exactly what I need, but it isnt free!

Any other ideas/programs would be appreciated!

Check out the Windows Media Centre (MCE2005) remote control. The IR reciever comes with 2x IR blasters that are used to control set-top box(es).

I can confirm that this hardware works fine with the TCL digital TV STB, at least with MCE2005 - although thats not free.

A free software alternative is GB-PVR. Apparently it has native support for the MCE remote/blaster, although I can't confirm this.

good luck.
