Hey guys.

My Wife's 625 has developed a habit of resetting its time / date to a random date .

The net effect is that she loses messages, as it files them way back in time. She only notices when it does that, as luckily she had a reminder set for the date it goes back to.

Any one else had this issue ( I had it myself on the same model of phone, but new 830 is fine so far).

Cheers in advance.

Its a common problem with that model. At least half of the ones we had here did that. The story from Nokia is the power button is too easily pushed and when held down too long resets the clock for some reason. They have a replacement backplate which improves the issue by making the button less easy to hit accidentally in pockets etc.

which cellular network are you?  try turning on automatic time, so if it does reset it will pick up the correct time from the network

As pointed out above, we have replacement Nokia 625 cases that make it much much harder to accidentally hold down the power button which is causing the "soft reset"

Don't know about the charging ones, but I think I have a spare plain black one lying around.

Cheers For that.

Should be easy enough to find a backplate.

I got the wireless charging plate for my 830, and love it.

Hmm, my wife's has the exact same issue I think. Annoys her no end.  How does one go about getting one of the replacement blackplates? She loves the different colour (her's is orange) so a black one probably isn't going to cut it.    (The phone was bought from the Warehouse)

If those of you that have the reset issue DM me you delivery address I will arrange to be sent to you.

We only re engineered the black one sorry.

If you have an orange backplane on the phone, try changing to the black one that came with it as it will most likely be the replacement back plate already.

As mentioned earlier this can also be partially resolved by turning Set date and time Automatically to ON in Settings > date+time

Vodafone supports NITZ now. Has done for a couple of months. Make sure your phones firmware is up to date.
