I have a tmobile MDA with windoes mobile 2005 and do not have the internet paqckage they want me to purchase for 30.00 extra a moth, but the phone comes with a wifi adapter built in. I try to connect to my home network and the phone recieves the signal but when i try to browse it comes up as page cannot be displayed. I called them and they fixed all the settings and everything and said it all should work and said since it didnt work that it woul'd have to be a problem with my router. So i went to another locationn with an open network and the same thing happens. I think tmobile has a block on the phone that doesnt allow you to use your own connection unless you are signed into the GPRS, EDGE hotspot network. I DONT KNOW ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS?

AFAIK T-Mobile has no such locks on Wi-Fi. Try doing this: on your Pocket PC open File Explorer, browse to \Windows and tap on welcome.exe... Follow the instructions, then open Settings | System | Memory, and find if Internet Explorer is still running. Terminate it and try again. See if it makes any difference.

Also you can download VxUtil (free) and use it to check that your Pocket PC is actually connected to the access point, and to PING some known site to see if there's connectivity. This could point out other problems.
