i have a feeling we wont get to see the hookers bobbing up and down on nikkos lap in the car or them gonig down on him and saying "i love the c**k" like in the videos i just watched.... im starting to get more and more worried about what we will miss out on as i see more video reviews of dodgy content.

Just a little Fanboy dig, it seems from many reviews (ive read 4) that the ps3 version is slightly superior if you dont count XBLive experience and downloadable content.Less frame rate issues, Less poppins(items in map loading after you should see them), and faster loading times after the initial 7min install.

Ive read that too.. an article on has the links to all the reviews saying that ps3 version is better (lets not start another war about ps3 vs xbox360!!)

Harvey norman just rang and said my copy is in store.. im sure i was originally told $117, however he said $97 to me on the phone just then.. Do u think i could get him to give it to me today, i tried but no.. damn Cry

Hmm, considering he would be up for, loss of job, thousands of dollars in fines and the potential for their store/chain to lose rights to sell games, I am not surprised he said no Cool

meh.. well i can try.. its not like i would have advertised the fact and got the store shutdown.. depends on the person serving you, a mate got cod4 before the street date from a store in chch, it does help if you send your gf to get it too (as he did.. lol)

Only 27 hours to wait anyway, thats doable..

Whoever put the torrent up for the 360 version deserves horrible things happening to them.. piracy sucks

Sleep is over rated, a mixture of redbull and beer is gunna get me thru the release and the rest of the morning, have you worked on your "sick voice" yet? whenever im gonig to pull a sicky i always start it the day before, i can put on quite a good "im getting sick face".

Down to EB games eastgate after 10 for there "release party" which i suspect is nothing more than a few gaming machines setup and sum balloons and pimply faced nerds....

Remember my psn, always looknig for nz'ers online on burnout and prolly gta4

I agree, lets not start another war as we all know that the Ps3 is better.

I have both Xbox 360 and Ps3 - guess which one I'm trying to sell.

6 hours and counting....

So having played it for quite a few hours, what an awesome game!
Ive encountered the knowen bugs tho :( Had it completley freeze on me twice now, once trying to connect to a multiplayer game, & last night i was in a multiplayer game, was JUST about to mow down some dude at about 150km and it locked up... Have had troubles joining to the server too, usually takes 6-7 attempts for it to connect to the server, but everyones experiencing this.. hopefully rockstar resolve this issue soon.

Im about 30% or so through now, had it freeze on me just once but i put it down to bad airflow, turned on the 2 12cm fans ive got on either side and havent had any trouble since (played it for 12hrs straight yesterday).

The online thing is a known issue, from what i heard its working now but i imagine there will be more work done with it, i think every man and his dog in the states was trying to connect once it released there since it was fine the night before (midnite release til about 6am was wicked fun online)

Word of warning though, if your going to play online with more than half a dozen people TURN THE POLICE OFF!
both mine (60gig) and my flatmates(40gig) had massive frame rate issues when the cops are after you in a death match.

Also, it is mentioned on some sites that erasing your save data and/or backing up, erasing and restoring your HDD will fix the freezing/crashing... from what ive read this doesnt work, maybe the occasional person will think it has worked, then they wil post that it worked only for it to fail later on. Also heard a number of people saying that 360's have the same fault but whether or not these people actually have 360s or are just saying it to make themselves feel better is another story.

Also just read an article saying that the ps3 version only runs and 640p resolution where as the 360 runs at 720p, apparently this was discovered by a reliable source but im not gunna sit there and count the pixels myself! this is funny though cos at the same time most reviewers are saynig that the ps3 version looks superior... i cant comment on this as i dont have a 360, all i know is its a beautiful game and at times it seems a lil too real!

Hey all,

lets get some feedback. I have heaps! LOL

Currently about 30% through with about 10 hours game time so thinking the approx. 40 hours game time is about right. (For missions only)

Good points:

- Missions are fun and a good variety.
- Using your phone is a cool added feature.
- Multiplayer is great fun.
- Taxis and free taxis are awesome.
- Storyline (as usual) is awesome and so was the initial introduction to the game.
- Watching TV is great. (Esp. the special comedy guests!)

Lame points:

- MA15+ with a NZ R18 sticker slapped over the front!!
- Getting only 720p resolution, cannot figure out why I can't get 1080p as it says on the back of the case!!
- Crashed once.
- Bugged out for 2 minutes withing 5 minutes of starting the game.

Initially I didnt think the graphics were too great. But then discovered it is only outputting in 720p using my PS3 and HD LCD TV.

Looked online for help but all the help I got was playing with the PS3 settings to output to 1080p, but to no avail.
After a bit of play time I changed my mind and thought the graphics were great.

Thats all for now.

Feel free to let us know what you think of the game so far...

Ok so I have the PS3 NZ/Aus version and have played about 20%.
I wanted to get the uncut also and got a US copy from Playasia.  I cannot load my saved games with this NTSC version.
I will try to sell it, and get the UK Pal version for PS3. Anyone want for $90+postage?
Whats best place to get a UK uncut version from?

Some people on GPForums started playing again and reported some differences in the story even very early on. But it might be just they didn't do certain sections.
