Put together a new build today, Strix B450-i mother board, I took the NVMe drive from my old PC and installed that on the new board, however it's not picking it up, not in bios not when booting with a media drive with windows on it. I cannot for the life of me figure it out, can anyone provide any help?

Have a look at your motherboard manual. On some motherboards an NVMe slot uses the same channel as one of the SATA ports.  So if you have a SATA drive also connected, it may be using the same channel as the NVMe and conflicting.  In that case you need to choose which device you want, or move the SATA to another port if there's one free.

In my case all my SATA ports are populated so I can't use any of the M.2 slots.

What's your processor?  Manual says that the 2nd M.2 slot is not supported for Ryzen procs with Vega graphics.  Pg.8

Turns out the drive wasn't compatible with the board.
