Hi all,

I've just had cable connect and I have a Netgear DGN3500 router, is it possible to use this with the cable modem.

It's a good modem/router, I would like to use it for my NAS and for Wifi.

Any ideas?

Cable doesn't required VLAN tagging, so you should just need to configure the WAN port with the IP/Subnet/Gateway etc and away you go.

*edit* nevermind I see it's actually a DSL modem without a Ethernet WAN port. So no.

Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

Cheers for the reply, thought as much. Wanted to ask just incase some clever person found a way.

Just went out and got a D-Link AC1750 router. $$$ I didn't want to spend but it will last a while now.

Will have a play with it tonight.
