Just wanting to tidy up some wiring. Now our homeline has been transferred to Vodafone VOIP (on VDSL), is the master filter now redundant?

Can I now connect the incoming copper pair directly to the HG659?

Yes, as long as you're not looking at going back to copper voice anytime in the future!

Just be careful that if you have the VoIP backfed into your internal wiring that the incoming line is separated from this

Simple answer is no. More complex answer is yes.

A master filter doesn't just split voice and xDSL frequencies, it also helps isolate your xDSL port from the rest of the wiring.

If you rewire so the modem is connected straight to the incoming copper pair then the master filter can be removed. If you still have other jackpoints in the home wired in series connected to the incoming copper pair then you should not remove it as it may impact your VDSL2 performance.
