Hi guys

I have dlink 502T adsl modem and have seperate wireless N router.

I've been using this modem more than 5 years and I don't think this device is optimised with ADSL2+, so
I decided to get a new modem.

Since I have wireless router, I'd like to get the single modem only(not the one with (wireless)router),
but it seems those single modems are all old model.
Therefore I'm thinking of getting modem with 4port router, something like
I don't want a device that is out dated. (no more than 2 years)

I don't know which one to get, any suggestion please?

Yeah agree, TP Link is the best value basic adsl2+ modem that does half bridging at the moment, also has a 4 port switch which can be useful or is a nice bonus.

Some alternatives are:

- Dynalink 1320E
- Linksys AM300
- NetComm NB14

.. but they are all more expensive than the TP Link and are single ethernet port (no 4 port switch).

I just picked up the TP Link based on Ragnors previous recommendations and am pretty happy with it. I've got it running into a IPFire firewall and then into a gigabit switch.

Because it uses the same chipset as the Dynalink the firmware is near identical just with different colours, and performance wise I find it very similar if not identical.

The only problem I running into is that when the internet connection resets the IP address isn't changed on the router in a timely manner. Ragnor has proposed a fix in a different thread before but it doesn't seem to work on the TP Link.
