Seen the Pogoplug mentioned on Geckzone occasionally. Hard to get in NZ. Currently Amazon have a special on the basic model @ $US44. Should land in NZ for about $NZ90 incl p&p. Not a bad price. NZ shipping OK.

Other than being "always on" how is this better than using a PC?

Unfortunately the original listing seems to have changed, as has the price! Although the "9 new from $44.95" link still seems to accept shipping to NZ.

timmmay: Other than being "always on" how is this better than using a PC?

- 5w total power consumption vs 30-35w for an Atom vs 110+ for a Core 2 Duo/i5 based system
-  Allows you to setup an easy way to access your files through the web
- Transcoding can be done on the fly according to what I've read
- Cheaper than using a PC solely for streaming

If you use shipito you can get anything shipped here from Amazon :)

Shipito makes it a little more costly, but occasionally the ability to buy electronics from Amazon is golden (or US Ebayers who do not ship internationally).
