TeaLeaf:
Can you add pretty much anything, like if you have a bluetooth enabled meter, I assume it would work on this as well as it does on an android phone?
Nope. It's an Amazon device so it's focussed on their ecosystem.
As above. It won't unless the sensor has a "Works with Alexa".
It's compatible with Bluetooth, Zigbee and Matter devices but those need to work with Alexa.
For example, you can connect Hue lights via Zigbee, so you won't need the Hub Hub. But then you won't have the management functions the Hue Hub provides, including firmware upgrades.
Other devices need you to first connect to their own apps, then connect the account to Alexa.
It works well with Ring cameras, but those are Amazon products.
It works with Eufy cameras, which you first configure in the Eufy app, then connect to Alexa.
It works with D-Link cameras and smart plugs, which again you configure in their own app, then connect to Alexa.
It also works with Grid Connect lights. Again, configure in the app, then connect to Alexa.
And Xbox, and Panasonic TV.
I am listing those because I have these working with my Alexa devices for ages now.
