Apologies if this is not in the correct forum.

I need help with swapping over phones.  1st is digital and 2nd is analog.  Physical location is being swapped but extension numbers staying the same (ie the user with the analog phone is getting the digital but keeping their extn #. 
I want to know if this can be done via programming or if physical changes need to be made.  If they werent keeping extn #'s then I would just repatch at the panel tie.  Lines just need to be changed from analog to digital and vice versa.

If you're changing the extension number of a device it's going to require programming change as digital phones and analogue are on different line cards in the PBX.

Yep programming change needs to be made. Total prick on these old beasts. All has to be done via MMC programming on the operator phone. When I get back to the office will see if I can find the old manuals and post up what needs doing.

You will need the programming access code so better hope it hasn't been changed by the installer.

No, just checked, installer code all good.  I have a manual but trying to work out how to assign station id is not so easy.......
