IT Support Technician







We are looking for an IT support technician to help setup and support the IT systems for two large ski areas. There is never a dull moment as there is always plenty to be done in our unique and challenging environment.


You will provide 1st and 2nd Level IT support for anything and everything IT related to keep two large ski areas operating with the position being primarily based at the Turoa Ski Area. If you love the snow or want to learn to ski or snowboard then this could be the job for you.


We need a self starter who has great communication and problem skills, is able to work within a team and independently enthusiastic, great customer service skills and willing to work weekends.


Successful applicant would ideally have an IT degree, A+ certification or suitable experience supporting a large IT environment.


This is a seasonal position to get us through to the end of the winter.









What's involved



  • Make sure our customers have loads of fun!
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support for anything IT related for the organisation
  • Bring a solid understanding of Windows 2008 and 2012 to the IT team
  • Help support operations in a mixed Windows OS environment
  • Service of a wide range of hardware from wireless access points to webcams
  • Set-up the point of sale and EFTPOS terminals around the ski areas
  • Service and support a widely distributed network involving copper, fibre, and wireless technologies
  • Support a wide range of software such as office apps, point of sale, payroll, financial etc.
  • Provide efficient, polite and professional service to all customers
  • Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Deal with complaints, compliments and suggestions in a helpful and empathetic manner
  • Provide assistance to your fellow team members and around the mountain at all times
